"Well once again Tussock Creek sponsored a true New Zealand pastime…….facing the challenges of the outdoors with the Otago Cavalcade. For those of you who havnt heard of the Cavalcade, the idea is to retrace the footsteps of our pioneer founders as they searched for gold in the hills of Central Otago in New Zealands rugged South Island. These people follow the original trails on horseback and in wagons pulled by horses. We have put a few photos here for you to have a look at so that you can see the extreme enviromental conditions that have been faced by past generations searching for gold in the 19th century. The Tussock Creek riders all wore their moleskins as in the rugged environment, its all that keeps them warm and comfortable.We hope you enjoy the photos."
